  • Why does a candle turn to full liquid? The wick is too big. It burns too hot and turns the entire candle into liquid. A quality candle will have a burn pool no more than 1/2″ deep.
  • What causes tunneling? Tunneling is when the wax on the edge of a candle container doesnt burn so you’ll have 1/4″ or more candle caked to the side of the container. This happens because the wick is too small for the size of the container. Resulting in wasted, unburned wax. This can also happen with soy wax due to its memory, if it’s not burned for long enough time. Soy wax candles should be burned 2-4 hours the first time.
  • Why does my candle not smell like anything? After a while our senses can used to a small. Walk out of the room and back in, I bet you’ll get a whiff of the candle then.
  • Why does the flame flicker uncontrollably? The wick used is too big (which will result in too big a burn pool and wick mushrooming). When the wick is too big for the mouth of the container, the wick will flicker and result in a flame higher than 2 inches. Be sure that the wick is trimmed to 1/4″ tall at each burn.
  • Why does my candle have air bubbles? This typically means that the wax was stirred too much during the melting process, or the candle cooled too quickly resulting in air bubbles getting trapped.
  • Why does my candle look crystalized when it solidifies? This is typically because it was poured too quickly or at too hot a temperature. It can also be from cooling too quickly. Soy wax does this naturally after cooling.
  • What inspired the logo? The logo was created before the business was even established. It was originally a tattoo the owner created and got on her wrist shortly after a close relationship with an alcoholic best friend ended. It represents two souls as one, in a Twin Flame union. It was used as a daily reminder to stay focused on positive change, to keep her motivated in showing her loved ones that recovery was possible. Today that tattoo represents growth and is a representation of perseverance and leading by example.
